Higgins is conference honorable mention
Gonzaga goalkeeper Vito Higgins was given honorable mention recognition on the 2005 All-West Coast Conference men's soccer team.
Higgins, who played for Pac-Five and is a 2003 Academy of the Pacific graduate, sat out last season with a knee injury and a viral condition.
He returned to the nets this season and posted a 1.39 goals-against average while starting 16 of 17 matches. Higgins was injured late in the season after colliding with an opponent and did not start the final four matches, but returned for the second half in the season finale against San Francisco.
Rush Soccer Club to host Mililani clinic
The Hawaii Rush Soccer Club will host the Coerver Soccer Clinic, Dec. 26-30, at Mililani District Park.
Jason and Joey Mathot, former players with Top Oss in the Dutch First Division, will conduct the camp.
The camp times are 4-6 p.m. for ages 7-10, and 6:30-8:30 p.m. for ages 11-14.
The early registration fee on or before Dec. 1 is $95 for Hawaii Rush members, $125 for non-members and $90 for each additional sibling. After Dec. 1, the cost increases to $125 and $155.
