Christmas plant sale
Pick up a present for a friend or yourself at the Christmas plant sale at the Filipino Community Center, 94-428 Mokuola St. in Waipahu.
The Dec. 3 sale, sponsored by the Cactus and Succulent Society of Hawaii, includes succulents, cactus, indoor and outdoor bromeliads, dish gardents, hanging planters and Desert Rose.

Pets and Santa Paws
Have a holiday photo taken with your pets by a professional portrait photographer, when Santa Claus returns to the Hawaiian Humane Society Dec. 3 and 4.
Sponsored by Fujifilm Hawaii, the event takes place at the Hawaiian Humane Society's Paul Wagner Garden from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donation is $20. Holiday accessories for pets are provided.
Feng shui class
Learn what all the feng shui fuss is about in a Dec. 4 workshop, "Feng Shui: Create Flow in Your Environment and Your Life."
The 2:30 to 4 p.m. class, taught by astrologer and feng shui consultant Alice Inoue, will focus on demystifying the subject and offer the basics of the art of placement for prosperity.

Grooming for pets
