Giving Thanks To The Bishop Museum
Third graders at Kapalama Elementary School paid a visit to their neighbors at the Bishop Museum to view its new Science Adventure Center. The exhibit made quite an impression on the keiki. Their teacher, Lori Uradomo, shared with the Star-Bulletin thank-you notes written by the children before sending them to the museum staff.
Common thoughts throughout: "I liked everything in there!!!" "I learned how the island was made and how things came here." "Mr. Pomai was so patient!!! " "Ms. Heidi put out a very fun experiment."
We offer a few of the notes for your viewing.

A Pampering Party
Aveda Salon & Spa at Ala Moana Center presents its annual Holiday Happening event from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Admission is $50, which includes plenty of pampering, entertainment and a workshop on creating a spa theme party at home, hosted by Dita Holifield (pictured) of OC16's "Entertaining in Paradise."
In addition to minisalon and spa services, there will be organic refreshments and a drawing for more than $100 worth of Aveda products, plus an Aveda holiday gift set for each attendee.
The event is a food drive for Hawaii Foodbank, so bring a food donation and receive a gift from Aveda, while supplies last.
The salon is on the mall's third level, next to Neiman Marcus. Call 947-6141 to reserve your space.
