"The Ice Harvest": A fallen-from-grace lawyer (John Cusack) embezzles $2 million from a Kansas City mob boss on Christmas Eve. But before he, his unsavory associate (Billy Bob Thornton) and his strip-club-owner girlfriend (Connie Nielsen) blow town, a winter storm cuts off their escape route. "In the Mix": Pop star Usher stars as a deejay who saves the life of a mob boss and is assigned to protect his daughter. Complications arise when deejay and daughter fall in love. Chazz Palminteri and Emmanuelle Chiriqui co-star. (PG-13)
"Just Friends": An overweight high school loser is rejected by the cheerleader-girl of his dreams. After graduation, he moves across country and transforms himself into a fit and successful (if selfish and womanizing) music executive.
