"CONGRATULATIONS, JACK!": Alfredo "Darth Vato" Villegas, left, .congratulated Jack Law, owner of the Wave Waikiki, Thursday as Law and a capacity crowd celebrated the club's 25 years "on the edge" in Waikiki. Villegas said that working at the Wave back in the 1980s taught him valuable lessons about how to succeed in other businesses.

"HAT" IS BACK: Matt Miller, left, and Peter Bond got ready to play a rare reunion concert by Hat Makes the Man. The set was a treat for partiers old enough to have been at the Wave when "Hat" was the house band in the mid-1980s. Bond is one of the few people who was at the Wave when it opened in 1980.
