Well?
Shannon took a bullet on "Lost" Wednesday, but is she really dead?
The winner of our guess-who-dies-next-on-"Lost" contest is Jon Asato -- as far as we can tell.
Asato entered our instant e-mail guessing game last week with the prediction that Shannon would die at the hands of Ana-Lucia, who would mistake her for one of the Others.
That seems to be what happened, provided Shannon really does die of that bullet wound to the gut and that Ana didn't have some other motive -- either of which could be true, given the twisty and conniving nature of ABC's made-in-Hawaii hit.
It seems that next week's "expanded" episode will focus on the survivors from the tail of the plane -- not the main group. So it could be a while before we know for sure.
But anyway, the prize here is a T-shirt (for the Dharma Institute), not a million bucks, so we're gonna go ahead and award it to Asato. If we turn out to be wrong, well, keep the shirt, Jon.
Three others, by the way, also picked Shannon to die at Ana-Lucia's hands, but Asato offered the most correct detail.
There's also the possibility that Sawyer, who was comatose at the end of the last show, could die also -- or instead -- in which case, we'll spring for another T-shirt for Melissa Woodring -- the only guesser to pick him.
Stay tuned.
