PGA Grand Slam offers kamaaina ticket price
Tickets are on sale for the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, which will be played Nov. 21-23 at Poipu Bay Resort Golf Course.
Three winners of this year's major tournaments -- Tiger Woods (Masters and British Open), Michael Campbell (U.S. Open) and Phil Mickelson (PGA Championship) -- and alternate Vijay Singh are competing for the $400,000 top prize.
Regularly, three-day passes are $40 each, but are being offered to Hawaii residents for $20 each.
Tickets for the pro-am on Nov. 21 are $10 each. The competition days, Nov. 22 and 23, are $20 per day.

Weng lifts Seasiders over Vulcans
Yu Chuan Weng blasted 40 kills to lead Brigham Young-Hawaii to a 30-28, 34-36, 31-29, 30-25 victory over Hawaii-Hilo in Pacific West Conference volleyball Saturday night.
Weng broke the Seasiders' school record for attempts in a match with 108. LeeAnn Mapu added 66 assists and Kawehi Wallace had 28 digs.
Taina Savage led the Vulcans with 23 kills and Desarri Olevao added 21.
UH freshman advances in USTA qualifying
University of Hawaii freshman tennis player Sascha Heineman advanced in the qualifying tournament for the USTA Hilton Waikoloa Futures Tournament yesterday.
Heineman beat UH teammate Ryan Sceats 6-4, 6-4 in the second round of qualifying. He'll face former Rainbow Warrior Malino Oda in the qualifying finals today at 9 a.m.
The winner gets into the main draw of the Futures tourney, which starts tomorrow.
