Women's Night Doubles set for Nov. 16-19

The Lanikai Bath and Body Women's Night Doubles tennis tournament runs Nov. 16-19 at Kailua Racquet Club.

The tournament is free, with door prizes and food and beverages available. In its first five years, the tournament has raised more than $12,000 for Women's Services at Castle Medical Center.

Play begins each night at 6.

Women's triple crown adds Sunset event

A $10,000 women's event has been added to the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing on Oahu's North Shore.

The O'Neill World Cup of Surfing is scheduled for Nov. 25 to Dec. 7 at Sunset Beach. It's the second jewel of the women's Triple Crown -- after the Roxy Pro at Haleiwa (Nov. 12-23) and before the Billabong Pro on Maui (Dec. 8-20).

The Vans Triple Crown men's events are the OP Pro Hawaii (Nov. 12-23) at Haleiwa, the O'Neill World Cup of Surfing (Nov. 25 to Dec. 6) and the Rip Curl Pro Pipeline Masters at Banzai Pipeline (Dec. 8-20).
