DIG DEEP
Craft fair holds treasures
It's open season for craft fairs, and TEMARI's annual Trash & Treasure fund-raiser tops most hit lists of those who like to dive in and dig deep for a mix of trinkets and treasures disguised as trash.
The 23rd annual event takes place 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii's Manoa Grand Ballroom. (If you see people exiting with treasures early, those are members, who get to shop at 8 a.m.)
Shop for invited artists' crafts and cast-offs, funky jewelry or exquisite antique and collectible wares. Vendor fees and sales from donations sold in the Trash Tents sustain TEMARI's art programs and help support local artists.
