SORRY ABOUT YOUR CAT: TAG cast members Daneb Catalan, left, and Kris DeRego, celebrated the opening of "P.S. Your Cat Is Dead" with director Dennis Proulx, and Brad Powell Oct. 12 at Yellow Brick Theatre. De Rego explores the thin line between victimization and violence with his eerie portrayal of an unemployed actor who arrives home to discover his girlfriend gone, his apartment burglarized and his cat dead. Catalan is equally impressive as Vito, the unfortunate burglar whom Jimmy catches, then toys with as the hours tick by. The bizarre and darkly funny adult comedy benefits from some of Proulx's best work as a director. The play continues Thursdays through Sundays through Oct. 30. Call 550-8457.

TWO ON THE COUCH: TAG cast members Alan Mueting and Kimberly Bridges celebrated with champagne on the other side of the set. Bridges gives a strong comic performance as Kate, Jimmy's estranged girlfriend -- she's fed up with him but still cares. Mueting adds comic relief as Kate's well-heeled New Year's date.
