Emme marks 30th year on TV
Emme Tomimbang celebrates her 30th year on television with a special "Emme's Island Moments," "Life on the Air: 30 Years of Emme," airing at 9 p.m. Thursday on KHON/NBC.
PBS Hawaii host Lynne Waters will tell Tomimbang's story through interviews covering her years with KITV, KHON and as independent producer of "Emme's Island Moments." Vintage video clips will show her celebrity interviews with the likes of Muhammad Ali and Peter Jennings.
Special guests will be Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina, the duo she interviewed 30 years ago, and again when they returned for a Hawaii concert earlier this month.
The show will be rebroadcast at 3 p.m. Nov. 6.
