VIGIL FOR A PRINCESS

A candlelight vigil yesterday evening in Nuuanu at the chapel at Mauna Ala, the royal mausoleum, and the grave site of Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop, marked the 121st anniversary of the death of the woman whose fortune endowed Kamehameha Schools. Nani Chang, a 1973 Kamehameha Schools graduate, sang "Ekolu Mea Nui" during the event.
