Tickets for Grand Slam of Golf are available
Tickets are available for the 2005 PGA Grand Slam of Golf, taking place at Poipu Bay Golf Course on Kauai Nov. 21 to 23.
The ticket price for the Pro-Am Tournament Nov. 21 is $10. Tickets are $20 per day on Nov. 22 and 23, with play starting at noon. Season tickets for all three days are $40 each. For the first time, Hawaii residents can purchase season tickets for $20 before Nov. 1.
The event features four players vying for a total purse of $1 million, with the champion earning $400,000 in the 36-hole stroke-play event. This year's PGA Grand Slam of Golf field is made up of Masters and British Open Champion Tiger Woods, U.S. Open Champion Michael Campbell, PGA Champion Phil Mickelson and alternate Vijay Singh. Two of these players are past PGA Grand Slam of Golf champions: Woods set an event record by taking first place in the competition for five consecutive years, from 1998 through 2002. Mickelson is the defending champion.
