One-stop shop for brides-to-be
If a wedding is in your future -- yours or someone to whom you owe a debt of servitude -- life could well be made easier by surveying the array of options at the World Class Wedding Expo XV, tomorrow and Saturday at the Hawai'i Convention Center.
At the least you'll get a good idea of what's available in the realm of flowers, reception sites, photographers, videographers, musicians, deejays, wedding planners, travel agents, bridal registries, cutlery, invitations, favors, centerpieces, cake designers and more. Chocolate fountains, for example. Were you even considering one of those?
The all-important bridal fashion show takes place at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow and 2:30 p.m. Saturday, featuring Casablanca Bridal, L'amour Wedding and Bridal Salon, Mamo Howell, Princess Kaiulani Fashions, Hawaiian Moon, Anne Namba, Jeannie Chun Designs, Kiyomi Bridal and more.
And, if you're wondering what to wear, Casablanca fashion maven Gladys says, "Textured fabric and lace gowns will be the focus this coming year. Strapless and A-line gowns continue to be popular with the addition of diagonal and low back cuts."
Hours are 6 to 10 p.m. tomorrow and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $6. Call 943-1067.
