ALL PIPED UP FOR THE FAIR

The Maui Celtic Pipes and Drums marched along Kaahumanu Avenue in Kahului yesterday on behalf of the Maui Fire Department, leading the parade for the 83rd annual Maui County Fair. The mile-long march, which included 3,465 people, 17 floats, 75 vehicles and five bands, ended at the fairgrounds near War Memorial Gym. The fair is the biggest fund-raiser for many nonprofit groups that operate food booths during the event that ends Sunday.
