Chinese governor
to visit Hawaii

Governor Huang Huahua of China's Guangdong Province will lead a 70-strong delegation to Hawaii next month to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Hawaii-Guangdong sister-state relationship.

Huang was invited to the state by Gov. Linda Lingle, who met with Huang in Guangdong during a Hawaii state mission to China in June.

Activities scheduled during the October 11-13 visit include a performance by the 110-member Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra at Blaisdell Concert Hall on October 11.

On October 12, a tourism seminar will be held at the Hawaii Convention Center for travel companies. Call 587-2783 for more information.
