Pa'u princess Joey Maeda, representing the island of Hawaii, rode down Ala Moana Boulevard yesterday during the annual Aloha Festivals Floral Parade. The parade began at Ala Moana Park and ended at Kapiolani Park in Waikiki, featuring pa'u riders, floral floats, hula halaus and marching bands.




PUERTO RICAN PRIDE

The grand opening of the "Puerto Ricans of Hawaii Past and Present Historical Exhibit" was held yesterday at the Hawaiian Heritage Center. Glorimar Lopez, and sisters Delilah and Cecil Marie Huertas danced a "Bomba," a traditional Puerto Rican folk dance.
