[ HAWAII'S KITCHEN ]

Tasty ribs marinate
overnight

This dish was prepared on "Hawaii's Kitchen" Sunday. The show airs at 5:30 p.m. on KHON/Fox.

Imua's Broke Da Mouth Ribs

5 pounds ribs, cut in individual pieces
» Sauce:
2 cups chopped garlic
1 cup green onions
1/2 cup oyster sauce
Red pepper sauce, to taste
32 ounces ketchup
1 pound brown sugar

Bring large pot of water to boil. Place ribs in pot. Reduce heat and simmer ribs 1 hour. Remove ribs and pat dry with paper towels.

Combine sauce ingredients in large bowl. Dip ribs in bowl and liberally coat with sauce. Place in a sealable plastic bag. Marinate overnight in refrigerator. Reserve remaining sauce.

Grill ribs over low heat, turning and basting often. Ribs are already cooked, so just grill until sauce is caramelized on outside of ribs.
