Police said the robbery happened at about 1:30 a.m. Aug. 29 outside Suzie's Adult Superstore at 94-210 Leokane St.

The security guard was watching the back door of the business.

He left his post to buy something at a nearby convenience store, and when he returned, three males were at the back door, said Detective Kim Capllonch, CrimeStoppers coordinator.

"That's the last thing he remembers," she said.

The guard was attacked and suffered a broken eye socket and swelling to his brain.

"They beat him up pretty good," Capllonch said.

The victim was able to provide a description of one of the males who approached him earlier and asked for money.

The suspect is believed to be in his 30s, 5 feet 7 inches tall, about 140 pounds, with a crewcut. He was wearing a sleeveless undershirt.

Anyone with information about the suspect or who witnessed the robbery is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME by cellular telephone.
