Comiso, Bauman win Old Pali Road Run

Ahrlin Bauman and Connie Comiso were the top finishers in the Old Pali Road Run yesterday.

Bauman was the male overall winner with a time of 23 minutes, 23 seconds. Derek Anthony Dobogai was second in 25:59.

Comiso was the first female finisher, covering the 4.4-mile course in 31:45. Laura Rebmann was the runner-up in 33:09.

Sea Warriors to hold tennis tryouts

Hawaii Pacific is holding open tryouts for its men's and women's tennis teams on Sept. 17 at its Hawaii Loa campus courts in Kaneohe.

Tryouts run from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. For more information, contact coach Stefan Pampulov at spampulo@campus.hpu.edu.

Vulcans conducting softball clinic

The Hawaii-Hilo softball team is hosting a clinic for girls 8 years old through high school Oct. 9 at the UHH Softball Field.

The clinic runs from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Players supply their own gloves, shoes, bats and jacket.

Pitchers interested in one-on-one instruction must pre-register and supply their own catchers. Coaches are also encouraged to attend.
