Maui woman loses in U.S. OpenMaui's Beth Arnoult-Ritthaler lost to fellow American Karin Korb, 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 yesterday in the first round of the wheelchair division of the U.S. Open at Flushing Meadows, N.Y.Her tournament is not finished, however, as she will team with Florida's Jan Proctor as they take on Elizabeth Williams and Sonja Peters today in a first-round doubles match.
Seasiders remain 16thDespite dropping two matches to No. 1 UCLA last weekend, the BYU-Hawaii men's water polo team remained 16th in the National Collegiate Top 20 poll released yesterday.The Seasiders only match this weekend is against the Hawaiian Masters in an exhibition tomorrow at 3 p.m. at the BYU-Hawaii pool.
