Threats to ex-girlfriend lead to arrest of man

Police arrested a 27-year-old man after he allegedly threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend and her mother earlier this summer.

Police said that on June 14 the victim, 25, was stopped in traffic on her way to work when the suspect got into her car without permission near Olive and Walker avenues in Wahiawa.

The suspect told the victim to pull over or he would shoot her, according to police.

The victim said that after she complied, for the next 30 minutes the suspect constantly threatened to kill her and her mother with a gun and kept the victim from escaping twice by holding her down.

Her mother was not in the car.

The suspect also told the victim that it was him who damaged her mother's car during a prior incident. The victim later escaped from her car, and the suspect took her cell phone, police said.

Police found the suspect Wednesday night near 823 California Ave. and arrested him for investigation of kidnapping, terroristic threatening, criminal property damage, theft, multiple counts of violating a protective order and unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.
