HGTV seeking homes

HGTV is conducting a search for unique homes in Hawaii to be featured in "ReZoned," a show formerly titled "Building Character," dedicated to telling the story of unique homes created in buildings not designed to be houses.

Producers for the show are looking for anything formally zoned commercial -- for example, firehouses, silos, Army bunkers, schools, etc. -- that has been transformed into a single-family dwelling.

The home must meet these conditions:

» The renovators or family need to be actually living in the home; they are not looking for a property that has been renovated and sold.

» It has to be a single-family home, not a building that developers have gutted and are now selling lofts out of.

» It has to have visible signs of the original building. Reminders of the history of the building need to be present.

If you own or know of such a home, contact Heidi Clark of "ReZoned" at HGTV, hclark@highnoonentertainment.com.
