Hittle's practice time increases

Sophomore outside hitter Tara Hittle increased her practice participation with the Hawaii women's volleyball team yesterday and junior hitter Sarah Mason will wait on results from X-rays taken last night.

Both Wahine players suffered grade-2 ankle sprains, Hittle on Aug. 12 and Mason during last Friday's season-opening match against top-ranked Nebraska. Mason's X-rays were to determine whether she also had a fracture; she is likely out for two weeks.

Hittle said she hoped she'd be available for this week's 18th Hawaiian Airlines Classic, which also features No. 5 Penn State, No. 7 Southern California and Western Michigan.
