MEET THE JUDGES: The O Lounge was filled to capacity on Sunday when Walter Omori presented the finals of his "National Talent Quest Karaoke Contest." Contest judges Larry Nakano, left, Charlyn Masini, Al Masini, Craig Shimizu, Liz Hata-Watanabe and Gordon Broad accepted the responsibility of selecting two contestants -- one male, one female -- from the field of 20 finalists to represent Hawaii on the mainland. Shawn Garnett, Lynn Kinoshita and Morris Harris looked impressive in the first round of competition, but Rylan Yashiki and Kennie Deluz were the winners.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!: Kim Au rocked out with Michael Cobb, lead vocalist of A Touch of Gold, while the group performed at Sunday's birthday party for Kim's husband, Dr. John Au, at the Ocean Club. Friends and family congratulated Au on making the "Big Five-0." Kim and her daughters, Nataysha and Tatiana Echevarria, added pizazz with a Tahitian dance.

JUST LIKE DAD: Kim Au partied with her sons, Isaac Calpito, left, and Lee Au, front, and make-up expert Kristofor Buckle, while her husband, Dr. John Au, was talking to some of his high school friends. Lee was dressed just like his dad but couldn't keep his shirttails in.
