Oceanic cable television
manager makes splash
in newsletter

A picture of MaryAnn Sacharski, Oceanic Time Warner Cable's general manager of media sales, popped into many an e-mail box yesterday morning.

Sacharski is featured in an article of a national cable industry newsletter, headlined "Raising Local Cable Advertising's Profile in the Aloha State."

The question-and-answer article in the biweekly Multichannel News newsletter revealed what she was doing in China, the types of advertising programs the company has put together and a bit about the uniqueness of doing business in Hawaii.

"I had no idea when it was coming out," Sacharski said, so its appearance in her own e-mail inbox was a surprise.

She believes the magazine contacted her because of a national Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau award presented to Oceanic in May for achievement in strategic positioning of cable advertising.
