WHEN KAITLYN MET MIKE: Kaitlyn Metcalf was partying with her mother, Jane Metcalf, in the Zanzabar VIP Room on Friday when Mike Tyson came in and was seated at the next table. Jane says Iron Mike was accompanied by "four beautiful women, two bodyguards and his manager," and was a perfect gentleman. Two Zanzabar doormen provided additional security as Tyson made small talk and posed for photos with Kaitlyn ...

DOCUMENTING THE MUSIC: Daniel Ho, producer of "Nohea," the second album by ukulele virtuoso Gordon Mark, called recently to explain that the album consists of different versions of the songs Mark released on his own last December on "Natural Elegance I." The recordings were remixed for release on "Nohea." Ho adds that since the first album was not distributed widely he thought it would "confuse people" to include that information in the liner notes. "Nohea" is Mark's first solo album to be released internationally ... And, as for my saying Ho "borrowed an idea" when mixing "'Ukuleles in Paradise," his new album with Herb Ohta Jr., Ho says he used the same technique on his "Pineapple Mango" album back in 2001 ... And so, local record producers, take note: There can never be too much documentation of Hawaii's music ...

CONGRATULATIONS: To Peter Britos, whose script, "Kilauea," made the quarterfinals of the Scriptapalooza Screenwriting Contest last week. Britos learns Monday if he goes to the semifinals. Top prize is $10,000 ...

NOT OVERLOOKED: Cole Horibe (Larry), Alan Lau (Don), Christy Joy Matsushige (Connie), Nikki Passas. (Kristine), Jay Jay Queja (Al) and Ernest Stevens (Bobby) give noteworthy performances in Castle Performing Arts Center's production of "A Chorus Line." The show closes this weekend ...
