Woman, 42, suffers fractured eye socket

Police arrested a 42-year-old man who allegedly fractured the eye socket of his estranged girlfriend, also 42, when he hit her on Wednesday.

Police arrested the suspect later at his Kailua home for investigation of second-degree assault.

Burglar uses stolen purse to aid break-in

Police are looking for a 27-year-old man wanted on three outstanding warrants who is suspected of stealing $50,000 worth of jewelry.

Jonathan Saatakamp allegedly stole a woman's purse while she was in a hospital meeting and used the items in her bag to locate and enter her apartment. A building surveillance camera videotaped Saatakamp entering the victim's condominium at around 11:30 a.m. on May 13.

Saatakamp, who also spells his name "Jonathon" or is referred to as Rudolpho Enriquez, is known to frequent Honolulu and Waikiki.

Police said he is 6 feet tall, weighs 189 pounds with a muscular build and has brown hair and eyes. Anyone with information about this case may call Detective John Martin directly at 733-8733 or CrimeStoppers at 955-8300.

Woman accuses 2 men of 3 sexual assaults

A 24-year-old woman said she was sexually assaulted twice this month by one man and once by another, according to police.

The woman told police that on July 20 she went to a man's home on Waialae Avenue and was repeatedly sexually assaulted. The woman told police that on Saturday that same man and another man picked her up and drove her around the island. She said both men sexually assaulted her.

Police said that on Tuesday the victim sought medical treatment and then reported the incidents Wednesday. Police described the suspects only as men in their 20s. The case is being investigated as a second-degree sexual assault.

CrimeStoppers a victim of intrusion

Police said an intruder broke into the Kona CrimeStoppers but apparently left empty-handed.

Investigators said the suspect entered the Kahaluu, Kona, office by cutting a large hole into the wall sometime between July 14 and Wednesday while the group's president was on vacation.

Anyone with information about the break-in or the identity of the burglars is asked to call officer Ed Buyten of the Kona Patrol at 326-4646 or the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.

Man sought by police for contempt of court

Police are looking for an 18-year-old man on a warrant for contempt of court.

Stephen J. Whitney of Keaukaha in Hilo, sometimes uses an alias of Kekoa Martin, police said.

Whitney is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, about 155 pounds, and having brown eyes and short brown hair.
