» Rex Rundgren (Mid-Pacific Institute, Sacramento City College) hit his first home run since the 2002 season when he connected against Tennessee Smokies Monday in a 2-1 victory for the Carolina Mudcats. It was the second baseman's sixth career homer in 1,697 at-bats.
» Shortstop Brian Finegan (Hawaii) leads the Lake County Captains in batting average (.294), hits (85) and doubles (20).
» Josh Green (Hawaii) returned to the Surprise Fightin' Falcons' lineup last week after missing 10 games with a hamstring injury and sprained ankle. The outfielder went 7-for-20 including two doubles, a homer and five runs batted in.
