Schutter memorial
set for tomorrow

Services for attorney David C. Schutter, who argued several high-profile criminal and civil cases in the islands from 1969 until 1997, will be held tomorrow at Kawaiahao Church on Punchbowl Street.

The program will begin at 6 p.m., followed by refreshments at the adjoining Likeke Hall.

Schutter, whose firm represented prominent figures such as U.S. Rep. Neil Abercrombie, Mufi Hannemann, Alfred Ruis and Robert Hall, died July 10 at the Kailua home of his son. He was 64.

Schutter was born Sept. 2, 1940. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin's law school and came to Hawaii in 1968, following his National Guard reserve unit when it was relocated to Schofield Barracks.

He is survived by sons Tony, Chris, Devin and Stefan, and stepdaughter Michelle. For more information on the services, call Chris Schutter at 228-9497 or Tony Schutter at 398-8315.
