OFF DUTY, BUT HE'S STILL WORKING: Ryan Laskey, hotel manager of the Sheraton Waikiki, took a night off to see how "Pussycat Junkies" was doing and encountered "SKYLiNE" regular Kaleihikina Akaka. "Pussycat Junkies" is held on the last Wednesday of the month and attracts a lot of the same people who go to "SKYLiNE" at the Hanohano Room.

MALE MODEL OF THE YEAR? Jimmy Beech, left, and Maggie Beach partied on the lanai with Flash Hansen. Beech said a prankster had started a rumor that he had been named "Male Model of the Year" -- it's just a rumor. Hansen had a similar brush with fame when someone dubbed him "Metrosexual of the Year."

SHE'S NO 'ESCORT': Sarah Fisher, left, and Noel Melanio talked with Suyin Phillips. Melanio had flown in from California several days early for a weekend gig as keyboardist "Bobby Ricotta" in Lounge Against the Machine. Fisher was helping him get around town but made it clear that she was not his "escort."

GETTING SMART: Matty "Matty Boy" Hazelgrove greeted Sarah Honda, left, and Molly Watanabe of Smart Magazine when they dropped by around midnight. Honda and Watanabe agreed that the only way to stay on top of what's happening in Honolulu's vibrant club scene is to get out in it.
