Football, volleyball tickets on sale

University of Hawaii football and volleyball season tickets go on sale to the general public Wednesday.

The Warrior football team opens the season against two-time defending national champion USC on Saturday, Sept. 3 at Aloha Stadium. The home schedule also includes Western Athletic Conference rivals Boise State (Oct. 1) and Fresno State (Oct. 29). New WAC members New Mexico State (Oct. 15) and Utah State (Nov. 13) also play UH at Aloha Stadium.

Hawaii finishes the regular season at home against Wisconsin (Nov. 25) and San Diego State (Dec. 3).

Football ticket packages range from $77 (age 4 to high school) to $145 (sidelines). Premium seat contributions also may apply to sideline and south end zone seats.

The Rainbow Wahine volleyball team also faces a tough schedule, hosting nine teams that played in last year's NCAA tournament. UH opens its home schedule against national semifinalist USC on Sept. 1.

Upper level volleyball season tickets are $120 (adult), $105 (senior citizen) and $70 (age 4 to high school). The lower-level seats are sold out.

UH faculty, student, super rooter and Manoa Maniac tickets for both sports go on sale in August.

Tickets can be purchased at the Stan Sheriff Center (8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday), by calling 944-2697 (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.), or on the Internet at hawaiiathletics.com. Walk-up and phone purchases are not available during holidays.

Badosa batted .276 in her sophomore season while starting at shortstop. Fullerton finished second in the conference and fourth in the state tournament where she also earned all-tournament honors.
