Wade Char and his wife stopped at Cape Disappointment State Park in Washington State to check out the Lewis and Clark Museum there. They were surprised to discover a trail to Waikiki Beach near the parking lot. Char said some research showed the beach was named for some shipwrecked Hawaiian sailors.

"The Search for Signs of Hawaiian Life in the Universe" is just that: We're looking for evidence of Hawaiiana everywhere but Hawaii.
