Gov. Linda Lingle visited Chihuahua Foxy Roxy, held by Keola Aki, 8, and watched by Pono Joseph, 9, at the state Capitol yesterday after signing two pet bills into law. One new law allows pet owners to establish trusts for their animals, while another allows the Board of Agriculture to rent out kennels at the state quarantine facility to defray operating costs.
