A surfer rode a wave yesterday as a boatload of parasailers headed out from Kewalo Basin. Surf is building along Oahu's South Shore as a series of swells arrive from the Southern Hemisphere, the largest expected tomorrow.

RAISING HEALTH LEVELS

Capt. Erin Drifmeyer received a lei from Sgt. Maria Escamilla yesterday during the Tripler Army Medical Center Graduation and Retreat Ceremony on the hospital grounds. Drifmeyer completed an internship in family medicine. The graduation ceremony honored 111 health-care professionals: 104 Army officers, two Air Force officers and five civilians.
