Movies opening this weekend:

"The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl in 3-D": Director Robert Rodriguez follows the success of his "Spy Kids" franchise with a new movie said to be based on the stories and dreams of his son Racer. It's about a 10-year-old outcast whose stories about superhero friends turn out to be true when he's whisked on a mission in space. (PG)

"High Tension": Originally titled "Haute Tension" at last fall's Louis Vuitton Hawaii International Film Festival, this French gore-fest is about a sadistic truck driver who stalks two vacationing college girls at an isolated country farmhouse. (R)

"Howl's Moving Castle": Japanese animation legend Hayao Miyazaki (creator of the Oscar-winning "Spirited Away) offers a film about a girl who is turned into an old woman and needs a wizard to reverse the spell. Emily Mortimer, Jean Simmons, Christian Bale, Lauren Bacall, Billy Crystal and Blythe Danner provide the voices. (PG)

"The Honeymooners": Cedric the Entertainer stars as bus driver Ralph Kramden in this update of the 1950s TV sitcom about two working Joes. Mike Epps, Regina Hall and Gabrielle Union co-star. (PG-13)

"Mr. & Mrs. Smith": Brad Pitt and Angeline Jolie star in this comedy-thriller about unhappily married assassins (whose professions are unknown to each other) who find themselves falling in love again when they discover their next targets are each other. (PG-13)
