Seasiders' Kalabic is Academic All-American

Brigham Young-Hawaii senior Vanja Kalabic made the ESPN The Magazine College Division Academic All-America All-District VIII Men's At-Large First Team in water polo.

Kalabic is an International Business Management major with a 3.71 grade-point average.

Kalabic, who was the NCAA II Player of the Year as a junior, led the Seasiders in scoring for the fourth straight year with 59 goals. He's the Seasiders' career leader in goals with 300.

He's also an Academic All-American for the second year in a row.

Libadisos earns college baseball honors

Former Aiea baseball standout Dylan Libadisos was named to the first team of the All-Jayhawk Conference as an outfielder for Highland Community College (Kan.).

Libadisos is a 2004 Aiea graduate.

Lacrosse clinic June 12 at Saint Louis

The Aloha Lacrosse Clinic will be held at the St. Louis athletic field June 12 from noon to 3 p.m.

The clinic is for boys and girls of all ages and experience levels.

Rainbow Wahine basketball camps in June

Two Rainbow Wahine basketball camps are coming up at the University of Hawaii.

The skills camp., which focuses on fundamentals, runs June 15-17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for beginners from 5 to 12.

The elite camp, which focuses on player development, runs June 23-25. for ages 13-18.

North Shore summer golf starts in July

The North Shore Junior Golf Association is holding a summer program with two instruction sessions every Saturday, starting July 9.

The sessions are from 9 to 11 a.m. and from 1 to 3 p.m. at the NSJGA's interim facility in Waialua.

The one-time registration fee is $5 per junior golfer or $10 for two or more juniors in the same family. For more information, call Ken Zitz at 478-9763.
