Fish fry

This dish was prepared by John Heckathorn of Honolulu Magazine on "Hawaii's Kitchen" Sunday. The show airs at 5:30 p.m. on KHON/Fox.

Nairagi with Ginger & Green Onion

1 pound nairagi (striped marlin; ahi or mahimahi may be used instead)
Flour, for dusting
Oil for frying
1 4-inch piece ginger
1 cup chopped green onion
3 tablespoons soy sauce

Slice nairagi into fillets and toss with flour. Fry lightly in oil.

Mince ginger in food processor. Combine with green onion in small pan. Add soy sauce and bring to boil. Pour over fillets.
