‘Bada Bing!’ debuts
tonight at Spada Bar

If you haven't had to endure the torture of moving I had to go through recently, consider yourself mighty lucky.

The last two weeks have been an adventure, from dealing with shady property managers and flaky potential roommates to apartment cleaning and serious body pain from carrying countless boxes of stuff. It also kept me from taking in both the Guerilla Black and Mark Farina shows over the weekend.

But thanks to Architechs Hawaii and Profound Entertainment (and the start of summer), I've got something new to do during the week. "Bada Bing!" debuts tonight at Spada Bar and Restaurant, with a hosted bar from 10 to 11 p.m. and $3 drink specials all night.

It's also good to see the Architechs' Blaise Sato back at work -- DJ Delve has gigged at a number of Stone Groove Family parties recently, but I haven't heard from Sato since he severed ties with "Feng Shui." I'm still convinced he could compete in Waikiki on Saturday nights, especially if Peter Maharaj would give him a shot at Maharaja ...

DON'T FORGET about Sunday nights when it comes to having fun over summer break. IMF Productions threw down at Longhi's last weekend, while The O Lounge hosted a house and trance night with DJs Paul Brandon, PSI and Euphorik headlining. Elsewhere in Ala Moana Center, Jackie Chan's offers flair bartending demonstrations during its "Dragon Room" weekly, and Flash Hansen is defintely onto something with "iPod Sundays" over at the Wave Waikiki.

Even if you have to work on Monday, there are lots of reasons to burn a vacation day and make it a long weekend ...

CONGRATS TO Florida's Mikaele Oloa, who was crowned 2005 World Fireknife Champion on Saturday at the Polynesian Cultural Center ... Impact Events' "Make Me Laugh Westside" was so popular, Andy Bumatai recently signed up to headline a return to Dot's in Wahiawa later this month. The "Take Out Comedy Tour," headlined by Paul Ogata and featuring Shawn Felipe, also added a second show at Pipeline Cafe on May 26 after selling out an initial concert on May 27 ... And good news for Go Jimmy Go fans -- their new album, "Fishbowl Eyes," now has a release date of June 21. The guys will celebrate with a CD release party on June 24 at the Hawaiian Hut ...
