Landscape Awards contest

Scenic Hawaii is seeking nominations for its 2005 Betty Crocker Landscape Awards contest. The awards, named for one of Scenic Hawaii's founding members, honors outstanding gardens that enhance the natural beauty of Hawaii.

The four categories are: professional landscapers and businesses for a one-time or continuing landscape design viewed by the public; private residential gardeners; community gardens and public spaces or areas developed and maintained by volunteer groups or community associations; and xeriscape gardens, either professional or private, that emphasize the use of plants that require less water. Deadline for submissions is May 15. Call 478-4888 for more information.
