Students compete in the Botball robotics contest

Punahou School's Jeff Sult, 17, reacted yesterday as one of his team's two robots made progress during the Second Annual Hawaii Botball robotics regional competition at the Hawaii Convention Center. Twenty-seven teams from 24 isle schools and a school in Japan competed for the title in the educational robotics tournament. The custom-made robots are programmed to score points by sorting trash, balls and the coveted BotGuy doll into receptacles within 90 seconds.
