Warriors climb
to No. 1

Kamehameha rules once again.

With wins over previously top-ranked Punahou and Mid-Pacific, the Warriors collected nine of 13 first-place ballots to dethrone the Buffanblu for the top spot in the Star-Bulletin Baseball Top 10.

Kamehameha (24-4) is 8-1 in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu.

Punahou, which reigned atop the poll for the first four weeks, garnered the remaining four first-place votes and is No. 2.

Mililani, unbeaten in the Oahu Interscholastic Association West, remained a lock at No. 3.

Baldwin posted three wins in the Maui Interscholastic League and vaulted three spots to No. 4 this week.

Saint Louis and Mid-Pacific each slipped one notch in the poll -- to fifth and sixth.

Coming off a 4-0 win over Kaiser, Kailua landed in the poll for the first time this season at No. 7. The Surfriders are 6-0 in the OIA East.

Aiea, which posted a big win at Leilehua, moved up two positions to No. 8. Waiakea and Kaiser round out the Top 10.
