Latex gloves and other clues helped tip off police that a suspect was driving a stolen car yesterday, police said.

According to auto theft detectives, some suspects use latex gloves to prevent leaving fingerprints. During a traffic stop near North King and Kalihi streets at about 3:15 a.m. yesterday, an officer noticed that the 18-year-old male driving the car was wearing latex gloves and that the steering column was pried open.
