Korodan too much
for Sabers

Christina Korodan nailed her fifth 3-pointer of the game with less than a minute to go to give Mililani a one-point lead and Shiann Leong's 3-point try at the buzzer for Campbell bounced off the rim as the Trojans escaped with a 49-47 victory Oahu Interscholastic Association West Division basketball game last night in Ewa Beach.

Korodan finished with a game-high 24 points and was the only Trojan in double figures. Darlyn Livae poured in a team-high 16 for the Sabers.

Kevin Fujii's three-run homer highlighted an eight-run first inning for the Rough Riders, who needed just five hits to score 17 runs in a shutout of the Red Raiders.

Keoni Manago gave up just two hits in five innings for the pitching win.
