Cal State Dominguez Hills nips Hawaii Pacific

Cal State Dominguez Hills scored four runs in the second inning and held on for a 5-4 college baseball victory over Hawaii Pacific yesterday in Carson, Calif.

Ricky Eda's three-run home run propelled the Toros (16-18).

Grandon Costa went 3-for-5 with a home run and a triple for the Sea Warriors (20-12), while teammate Alika Kuraoka hit a solo home run.

Vulcans beat Sonoma State, Grand Canyon

The Hawaii-Hilo softball team won a bronze medal with two victories in the Tournament of Champions in Modesto, Calif., yesterday.

The Vulcans (24-6) beat Sonoma State 1-0 and Grand Canyon 5-2.
