Movies opening tomorrow

"Beauty Shop": Queen Latifah returns to the "Barbershop" as Gina Norris, moving to Atlanta to work for a flamboyant, egotistical salon owner (Kevin Bacon). But his criticism drives her to quit and buy a run-down salon, which comes with an opinionated group of headstrong stylists, a colorful clientele and a sexy neighbor in the form of Djimon Hounsou. Alicia Silverstone, Andie MacDowell and Mena Suvari co-star. (PG-13)

Opening Friday:

"Sin City": Frank Miller's gritty and distinctive-looking graphic novels of crime, corruption and revenge get a reverential movie treatment from Robert Rodriguez, who co-directs with Miller. (Quentin Tarantino also lends a hand in one sequence.) The central of three stories is one in which Marv (Mickey Rourke), a tough-as-nails street fighter, goes on a rampage when the beautiful Goldie (Jaime King) is killed. Bruce Willis, Benicio Del Toro, Clive Owen, Elijah Wood, Jessica Alba, Brittany Murphy, Josh Hartnett, Nick Stahl and Rosario Dawson are part of the movie's all-star cast. (R)
