» The principal at Keonepoko Elementary School in Hawaiian Beaches subdivision on the Big Island would not say whether a social worker checked up on a 10-year-old girl as one normally would when a student misses classes for long periods. A story on Page A4 in yesterday's early edition incorrectly stated that the school disclosed that no social worker had checked up on the girl.

» Farrington High School senior Joe Sagapolutele is not a gang member. A teenager quoted in a Saturday Page A4 story about Kalihi student fights misidentified himself as Sagapolutele.
