NFL stars ready to
play and to party

TAKE A trip down memory lane tonight at Pipeline Cafe with hip-hop legends Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock.

Cinnamon Red Entertainment is responsible for putting the show together as one of the events built around Sunday's Pro Bowl. Most people will remember the duo for their 1988 hits "It Takes Two" and "Joy and Pain."

Tickets for the 21-and-over concert are $20 each; doors open at 9 p.m. Local artist Trace is the opening act. Call 589-1999 ...

PRO BOWL weekend also brings a number of opportunities for local residents to party with some of the NFL's biggest stars. Tonight, head over to the O Lounge and hang out with the Tennessee Titans' Travis LaBoy and the Denver Broncos' Champ Bailey, John Lynch and Ashley Lelie. 102.7 Da Bomb's Sam the Man will host this 21-and-over event, which features $3 drinks all night ...

TOMORROW, the action moves to Zanzabar Nightclub, where Hot Lava Entertainment hosts the Washington Redskins' Marcus Washington and the Cincinnati Bengals' Willie Anderson and Chad Johnson.

Back at Pipeline, Rick Rock will feature a special appearance by adult film star Tera Patrick during his weekly "Foreplay Fridaze" party ...

SATURDAY'S highlight is the official Pro Bowl concert at the Waikiki Shell. The show starts at 6 p.m., with Natural Vibrations, Kapena, Ho'onu'a, Ekolu, Nuff Sedd, Keahiwai and the Kekai Boys scheduled to play. Ticket prices range from $18 to $25; call 296-1003.

Afterwards, check out Pipeline starting at 10 p.m. for performances by Hawaii's own Camile Velasco and INC Records recording artist Lloyd. Miss Hawaii USA Olena Rubin also will be on hand, along with the Philadelphia Eagles' Terrell Owens and the Denver Broncos' Jason Elam ...

LAST YEAR, Philana Bouvier celebrated Valentine's Day with a "Black Hearts Ball," encouraging singles to go out anyway and forget about the holiday.

For 2005, she's setting her sights on those of you looking to get dressed up for that special someone -- in luxury lingerie. Bouvier will team up with Portlock resident Lulu Lackey to host a special showcase of classy underwear imported from Europe.

From 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Lackey's home boutique will open its doors to the general public for a special sale. Call 479-0270 to RSVP ...
