Radio tribute
to Wili Moku touches
legend’s many fans

REMEMBERING WILI: Oldies 107.9 disc jockey Ron "The Real Ron O'Neal" Klohs touched a lot of hearts Sunday when he dispensed with the station's usual tight format and replayed some of his on-air conversations in "the hole" with the late Wili Moku. "Hotel Rwanda" should be shown annually in high schools nationwide as part of the basic curriculum on 20th century history, racism and genocide. The movie opens here tomorrow ...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY: To Alan Arato, Josh Olivas, Jordan Segundo and Emma Veary, who are celebrating today ... also to Bo Irvine (Friday), Tini Grey (Sunday), and John Tilton and Alice Yeung (Tuesday) ...

Part of the instrument was salvaged from the Kaimuki Theatre. McCreary got additional parts from organs in other local theaters just before they, too, were destroyed. A one-of-a-kind instrument ...
