Keaton almost got lost
with the ABC cast

Actor Michael Keaton had a chance to star in ABC's "Lost" for at least one episode. Creator J.J. Abrams offered him the role of Dr. Jack Shepard when the character was supposed to last just one episode. After Abrams decided to keep Jack alive, Keaton passed, giving Matthew Fox the role.

Hate to be a spoiler, but "Lost" still isn't locked in to continue filming in Hawaii for season two...

A soundtrack will be released to coincide with the airing later this year of the TV series "29 Down," produced by the Discovery Channel for NBC. Producer Stan Rogow is also reportedly in "conversations" with publishers for a series of books related to the Saturday morning castaway show ...

The Discovery Channel has also completed nearly a week of filming on Maui for its new health show "Train This." The three episodes included former pro volleyball player Gabriele Reese taking surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing lessons and more with husband, big wave rider Laird Hamilton, and other celebrity athletes, at Hookipa and Baldwin beaches. The production will continue filming with other celeb athletes in Los Angeles. No air date has been scheduled.

John Stockwell admits he's discouraged that he hasn't heard from the WB about the series "Rocky Point," which he is producing with Lizzy Weiss. The pilot was filmed on Oahu in October, but no one has told him it's a dead deal ...
